All the girls were in their hotel suite getting ready when an alert on Facebook went off. Amy smiled and put down her phone. “Today marks exactly 5 years from my first date with Daniel. I totally had forgotten – thanks Facebook!” Today was their wedding day.
Amy and Daniel had met during their last year of university and the rest is history. From quickly becoming best friends to Daniel acting as a perfect role model for Amy’s son Jake, they were absolutely perfect together.
Although they had both moved away from the university, away from the state even, they couldn’t think of a more fitting place than to bring their friends and family back together to celebrate their marriage at the very place where it all began.
With Daniel being from the U.K., they had a mix of traditional British and American customs throughout the day. And although “First Looks” aren’t really known overseas, Daniel (with a little convincing) agreed to do one and they are both so happy they did!
Daniel waited for Amy in the tea garden of Japan House, another university gem that was so special to both of them. Amy’s bridesmaids giggled from around the corner as they gave her dress one last fluff and helped her through the gate. These moments, these memories, seeing each other for the first time on the day their new lives as husband and wife began, became some of their fondest of the whole day.
