Rachel’s Maid of Honor gripped the microphone and cleared her throat. Silence fell over the room. Suddenly, a familiar tune filled the air. Rocking out to the N*SYNC song “It’s Gonna be Me”, she had changed all of the words to sing Rachel and Joel well-wishes with their new marriage. Tears welled up in Rachel’s eyes, intermittent with roaring laughter. She loved that her Maid of Honor had chosen a song so special to them and their childhood to use as her toast.
All I heard throughout the day was how well Rachel fit into Joel’s family. I could see Rachel blush each time one of Joel’s closest friends or family members brought it up. How they were the perfect pair to compliment one another. She infectious smile filled the room and continued to beam throughout the day. She was one of the most joyous people all because she was getting to marry her Joel. Nothing was going to get her down – not even when one of her bridesmaids had to leave in the middle of portraits because she was going into labor.
Never stop smiling! It was a pleasure to work with such fun, loving people such as the two of you!
