When Andrea and Rich first said they wanted their engagement photos in the snow, I thought no problem– this is Chicago after all! But then somehow the session got pushed back from January to February to March with no sign of snow in sight.
I normally hate the snow and cold, and would’ve been happy going a year without, but I was glad when snow finally showed up in the forecast. We knew we had to act fast because this was likely the only little bit we’d get seeing as it was already mid-March, so we packed our bags and made the trip out to Independence Grove in Libertyville.
Andrea and Rich were so fun to work with! I know it was freezing, but they were such troopers through it all. And while I’m sure their photos would have been equally as beautiful if taken later this spring, I’m just so happy that these two got the snow they were looking for! It just goes to show that (with a little patience) a girl always gets what a girl wants! 😉
I can’t wait for their wedding at The Pavilion next February. I know it’ll be magically snowy and everything they dream of. Because there’s no way Chicago could go two years in a row without a real winter!
